Maddie received her Young Women Recognition Award today at church! We are so proud of her! She worked hard doing all of her projects, many of them helped me at home. Way to go Maddie, we love you!

Thanks to Brian, we all went to the Blazers game last night to watch the home team take on the Atlanta Hawks. After leading for most of the the game they lost but we still had a great time. It was a bit of an emotional roller coaster for some, as evidenced by the pictures below.

just because. The kids are always asking why no one puts anything new on....

i'm still sick. But not nearly as sick as last week... Don't know for sure if it was/is swine flu or not. Kids are fine, Trent is fine.

Kids first swim meet of the fall/winter season is next Saturday/Sunday in Madras (just a short 2.5 hour drive from Portland, ahem...) and they will each be in 4 events on saturday and sunday, plus a relay or two. Should be fun. I love swim meets.

School is going excellent, thanks for asking! Both kids are half way through 7th and 5th grades (and it's only OCTOBER!!) We're doing lots of extra stuff so that they can be done with 8th and 6th grade (mostly) by the end of this year. I figure it can't hurt to have them be ahead of the curve....and they like staying busy with school. We have found a nice group of homeschooling people in town here, they have a get together about once a month. And, they take art and science from a friend who is also an artist, nurse and homeschooling mom once a week. :) busy busy busy.

The camera people didn't get any of arleebell. Next year for sure. This is Dillon finishing off the relay (they won by like 2 minutes!!!)

School again...already???

The girls survived their first week back at school. I celebrated by going to the movies and out to lunch with a bunch of friends. They are all so excited about taking dance this fall. Fortunately, we have almost 2 more months before soccer season. It is way too hot to be outside now!
